Gabriela Araujo Homework

Reference: Paranormal Activity Directed by Oren Peli and Pacman developed by Namco.

Tool: http://www.the-qrcode-generator.com/ , http://designerqrcodes.wordpress.com/designer-qr-code-art-gallery/ – Piece of cake interaction making, I use this to make a game once and some inspiration.

Reference: http://www.visibone.com/color/kilochart_900.jpg – A cool RGB color scheme, I used many times during the homework.

Project: http://vimeo.com/45417241 , http://vimeo.com/38840688 , http://vimeo.com/32756536 , http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1Cb3kqeUnw – Two of the coolest kinect projects. I don’t know what language they used to make it, but it might as well be processing.

Maker: http://www.ted.com/talks/ze_frank_s_nerdcore_comedy.html – Interaction ingenious and still a pretty funny guy.

Forum: https://github.com/ -Social media for coders, you can post your creation and questions, they are very active in New York, I so recommend getting involved if you have any plans on taking creative computing seriously.

Inspiration: http://vimeo.com/1747316 – Like in the description of the website : Metamorphosis is a generative, algorithmic animation programmed entirely in Processing (processing.org)

Self: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIE9MCz7NN0 – A project that I’ve done in the GENIgames class with professor Kang Lee. We used processing to capture the movements of the robot, I didn’t know much coding at the time so I just helped design the robot to be deadly! And then I pilot it with my movements.

Maker: http://www.woebken.net/
Forum: http://shadowness.com <– This is a really cheesy approach to design (at least before when it was more shallow and graphic-based) Now they are welcoming other mediums. The community of this forum is slowly falling apart, but it’s nice to see where online design started from.
Inspiration: http://www.chriswoebken.com/nano_project.html – again Woebken because I am still inspired by his concept which was using organic physical forms (the seeds) to interact with a digital screen (the computer). He brings up interesting questions such as “how does organic computing look like?” His basic approach made this a very convincing video.
